Welcome to our third Pro Am tournament of the season, the Patriot's Cup! We have 7 teams playing in this tournament, please see the tournament format below.

Tournament Format:
Bracket 1: A, B, C - will play a round robin for 2 days. Scores will carry over from day 1 to day 2, winner advances to the final
**these matches are technically not round robins, rather they are 2 match games for each team over two playing days. Therefore match game rules apply. (ie handicaps will be based on a 4 chukker game)

Bracket 2/3: Teams draw for who they play on the first day (D vs E & F vs G), then the winner of Bracket 2 will play the loser of Bracket 3 and the loser of Bracket 2 will play the winner of Bracket 3.
Top 2 records advance to the round robin final against the Bracket 1 winner. In the case of tied records, we will have a shootout.

Tied Games
If teams end their game in a tie, then the tie will be broken with a shootout:
-- 1 HPC Member and 1 professional player, alternating teams, will shoot Penalty 3s. After all players have hit, the team with more points is declared the winner.  Should a tie remain, ALL PLAYERS will hit again, however the team which hit first will now hit second.

Tied Records:
In the case of seeding, teams will draw for placement.
 In the case of elimination:
 - If 2 teams have tied records and they did NOT play each other, then the tie is broken by a shootout.
 - If 2 teams have tied records and they HAVE played each other, then the tie is broken by who beat who.
 - If 3 or more teams have tied records, then the tie is broken by a shootout.

Tied Record Shootouts:
-- 1 player from each team will shoot
-- Shootout time and location is TBD and will be determined by the HTC

Round Robin Rules:
The winner of the Round Robin is the team with the best won-lost record.  In the event of a won/lost tie at the end of the Round Robin, the order of finish will be determined using the following method:
1. Based on net goals
2. If net goals are inconclusive, then gross goals
3. Lastly, the “shoot out” procedure set forth in USPA Outdoor Rule 14.d, if both net goals and gross goals are inconclusive

Round Robin Tied Game Rules:
Should any 2 chukker game result in a tie, the winner shall be determined by the shootout procedure in USPA Outdoor Rule 14.d (tied teams shoot penalty 3s) except that only 1 player from each of the tied teams will shoot.  The shootout will take place immediately following the game between the 2 tied teams.
