Welcome to the 2016 Texas Open! Teams will play cross bracket format, 3 teams in each bracket, top 4 records overall move to the semis. For the semifinals, teams will be ranked by their records, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. The semis will be between 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3. A shootout will most likely be needed for seeding or knockout. Records 5 and 6 will play a consolation match game, then we will offer a subsidiary tournament for the last weekend.
*The last week of the tournament we have scheduled the semis on Wednesday, rain day Friday, finals on Sunday. This way it gives more time for horses between games.
We will remove the semis if rain delays the tournament.
In the case of tied records:
- if it's 2 way tie, the tie is broken by 'who beats who'
- if the tied teams didn’t play each other, then the tie is broken with a shootout
- If it's 3 way tie then we will have a shoot out.
